Amplifiers and Theremins

I've been wanting to get a little amp kit back from my lecturer these past few days. I made it at the end of last year when some lecturers from France came and taught us some electronics. The amp is just a little circuit board, with a speaker and battery connected. With the 2 others wires, meant to be connected to the source, you can make these crazy noises.

I looked into it and I'm guessing it works on the same principles as a Theremin, an odd electric instrument that can be played just by waving your hands around the antennas. The above video is a basic Theremin and is as close as to what I was doing at the end of last year. Enjoy.
