I was in university today to show to my lecturers my plans for the year. We have the chance over the last year to make 3 of our briefs ourselves. I planned them all to be about promoting myself, books exhibitions and stuff like that. I knew it was self indulgent of me but I wanted to use the time to help me get out there into the industry.
However they did notice the flaw in my plan, I'll have a nice looking website and book but nothing to show in it. So we agreed to put these all into one brief later in the year. Which brings me onto D&AD, I'm planning on picking one of the student briefs to do as my first self directed brief. Got any suggestions? Bearing in mind I'm thinking about reviving my illustration skills.
